Consonance Ensemble in Concert

Consonance Ensemble, founded in 2007, is a distinguished woodwind ensemble dedicated to the performance of chamber music, exploring the vast possibilities of woodwind instruments. The ensemble is comprised of members from the National Philharmonic Orchestra of the Republic of North Macedonia, who are equally committed to orchestral, solo, and chamber music performance. Consonance has performed at many of the most prestigious national festivals and events, as well as in international venues in Montenegro, Bulgaria, Croatia, and the United States. The ensemble has released one CD to date.
Zdravko Angelov is the Principal Clarinetist of the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed extensively as a soloist with various orchestras, showcasing his exceptional skill and artistry. A passionate and dedicated musician, Angelov is deeply committed to chamber music and the repertoire for solo clarinet. His performances are marked by a profound dedication to his craft, contributing significantly to both the orchestral and chamber music scenes.
Elena Dojčinova is the Principal Flutist of the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra. Her artistic excellence has been widely recognized by numerous conductors, and she has performed frequently as a soloist on various prestigious stages. Deeply committed to both chamber music and the solo flute repertoire, Dojčinova’s performances consistently reflect her dedication and mastery of her instrument.
Sashko Temelkoski is a bass clarinet soloist at the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra. Alongside his performances with the orchestra, he’s actively involved in professional orchestral music recordings. A passionate musician, Sashko enjoys exploring the possibilities of both the bass clarinet and clarinet and is dedicated to performing chamber music.
Maja Chanakjevikj is an oboist and Principal English Horn player with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to her work with the orchestra, she has performed as a soloist and as a member of various chamber ensembles at numerous festivals and venues both in Macedonia and internationally. Beyond her musical career, Chanakjevikj is also actively involved in the field of arts management, contributing her expertise to the broader cultural landscape.
Kalina Mrmevska is a concert pianist and an Adjunct Professor at Five Towns College, as well as a Piano Instructor at Interlochen Online. In addition to her active concert career, where she performs both as a soloist and with orchestras, she is deeply committed to promoting Macedonian music and culture. Her dedication extends beyond performance and education, as she works to bring greater awareness and appreciation of her country’s musical heritage to international audiences.
