Known for her strong, passionate energy and poetry of music, Ivana has captivated audiences from all around the world . Her performances have been described as images of stories and emotions carried through her instrument. Ivana’s confidence and technique make her a very unique musician demonstrated by the musicality she possesses through her extremely gifted talent.
Born in a family of pharmacists and economists, Ivana followed a different direction from what was expected. With her unusual talent, she began gaining sympathies of classical music lovers who supported her from early childhood through her youth. At the young age of 5, while at her hometown elementary school, Ivana decided to stay with music education continuing through high school where she attended State Music and Ballet High School in Skopje studying with Professor Slagana Jovanovik. She attended the State Music Conservatory in Macedonia and continues her studies at Roosevelt University’s College of Performing Arts as a student of Dr. Ludmila Lazar.
By 18, Ivana had already received an astonishing number of awards and prizes from competitions in France, Italy, Serbia, Macedonia, Spain , USA, Croatia and Russia. She has been a recipient of 15 International First, Second and Third Prize Winner Awards in France ( 2002 ) , Italy ( 2002-04 ) , Macedonia ( 2004 ) , Serbia ( 2003-04 ) , Spain ( 2005 ) , USA ( 2003-05 ) , Croatia ( 2004 ) and Russia ( 2003 ) . Her success has granted her performances in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe and the US, where she has performed both solo recitals and with orchestras. Her 2003 performance of the Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, accompanied by the World Youth Symphony Orchestra and Conductor Timothy Russel, has placed Ivana’s name among those that will mark music history.
