ZANA MARKELSON

A native of Dubrovnik, Croatia, Zana Markelson has established herself as an important and eloquent voice on the contemporary Croatian art scene. Even before graduating from Zagreb’s Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Professor Miroslav Sutej in 2001, Ms. Markelson started exhibiting in some of Croatia’s most prestigious galleries and was involved in leading an art workshop in her native Dubrovnik. In 1999, she completed a summer-long course on printmaking at the Guttenberg Museum Workshop in Germany. Since the late 1990s, her work has successfully appeared at numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe and the US.
