Biography
Macedonian violinist Momchilo Kufojanakis is born in 1988 in Skopje. He finished primary and secondary school at the National Music and Ballet School Center “Ilija Nikolovski – Luj” in the class of professor Erhan Shukri M.A. and graduated the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje in the class of professor Mihailo Kufojanakis M.A. with highest honors i.e. CUM LAUDE.
He attended Two-year postgraduate studies at the State Conservatory – A.K Glazunov in Petrozavodsk, Russia in the class of Professor Klimentij Josifovich Wexler, the Honored Artist of Russia and the National Artist of the Republic of Karelia, finishing with the highest grade in 2015.
Throughout his education, he attended consultation classes with the eminent pedagogues Irinina Golovina, Ara Bogdanjan, Blagorodna Taneva, Evgenija Chugaeva, perfecting his technique.
He was an active participant at the 14th International “Arkutino” Master Class – Primorsko in 2005 for young talented violinists under the guidance of the great violinist and pedagogue, professor Mincho Minchev.
In January 2009 and 2010 he participated in the intensive two-week Master class of the International Education Center “E-Vivaldi” in Venice, Italy, led by the famous professor and UNESCO artist for peace, Ino Mirković, who has a PhD from the Moscow State Conservatorium – P.I. Tchaikovsky.
He is an active participant in the Master Class EuropeanSummer Music Academy 2012 in Prishtina, Kosovo.
In 2014, he attends the seminar held by prof.Aleksandar Zinovyevich Bondyuranski, professor at the Moscow state conservatorium “P.I. Tchaikovsky”, the masterclass of prof. Dora Schwarzberg, professor at the Vienna Conservatorium in Austria, and the DresdenMeisterkurse Musik seminar in the class of Igor Malinovski, professor in Hochschule fur Musik Dresden in Germany.
In 2015, he completes 10 years of his musical activity at the macedonian concert stage, while successfully representing Macedonia in Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo and especially in Russia. He marks this step in his career with a concert in Skopje at the Autumn Music Festivities 2015 festival.
Momchilo Kufojanakis played a series of successful evening recitals in cooperation with the pianist professor Vesna Angelova M.A. in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011
In 2012, he is presented with a recital program on the Russian scene in cooperation with the professor Eduard Eduardovich Sonderegger, Merited Artist of the Republic of Karelia, Russia. During his stay in Russia there are a series of performances and concerts, especially the recital performance in June 2015.
He performed solo concerts with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra in 2005 and 2008, the “Arco” String Orchestra in 2007, the Skopje Mandolin Chamber Orchestra in 2008, the Symphonic Orchestra of FMU-Skopje in 2008 and 2011, and the Chamber Orchestra “Skopje Soloists” in 2012.
In Petrozavodsk, Russia, he dutifully represents Macedonia and conquers the Russian music scene with his recital in 2013, with the performance of a violin concert by A. K. Glazunov, with a concert of chamber music in 2014. He performs the virtuous piece “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso” by C. Saint-Saens at the opening appearance at the International Contest in Petrozavodsk in 2014, as well as a performance at the Concert in honor of Professor K. J. Wexler, organized by the Petrozavodsk state conservatory – A. K. Glazunov, attended by the best former and current students of the professor. In June 2015 he completes his post-graduate studies in Russia with a solemn concert.
In addition, his following noticeable performances should be mentioned; the performance at the Skopje Summer Festival in 2006, the performance at the International Festival of Young Musicians DAM in Prishtine-Kosovo in 2004 at the manifestation Autumn Music Festivities in Skopje in 2007 and 2009, as well as the soloist performance with the Skopje Soloists in 2012 performed the violin Concerto for violin and orchestra no. 2 from Wieniawski.
After an invitation from the organizers, in 2010 he performed at the Novalja Summer and the Opatija Cultural Summer in Croatia and performed at Omisalj on the island of Krk, in cooperation with the pianist Natalia Maricheva from Russia.
In 2008 he realized a wholehearted performance organized by the CIC (Cultural Information Center) of the Republic of Macedonia in Sofia on a thematic evening dedicated to the great J. S. Bach, performing the two double J.S Bach concerts together with professor Mihailo Kufojanakis (violin), and professor Todor Svetiev (piano), for which the Bulgarian critics give an outstanding review, calling it “an evening of Bach’s interpretation by ВЕЛИКАНИ.
By evaluating the positive responses of the Bulgarian public from the performance in 2008, the Director of the CIC of Republic of Macedonia receives an invitation for Momchilo to perform in 2009 in Sofia, once again worthily representing Macedonia with a recital appearance in the chamber hall ”Bulgaria”, with corepetition of Vesna Angelova, MA.
The portfolio of Momchilo Kufojanakis would not be complete if his first debut with a half-recital program in the distant 2004 was not mentioned, with performances at the musical scenes in Skopje, Tetovo and Kocani. In the period from 2010, until his departure to Russia in 2012, he is a member of the French Orchestra FAME / Macedonian Music Industry at MRTV Skopje.He had realized video records for Macedonian Television in 2003, and in 2004 for Television Kosovo.
His repertoire contains the works of the world composers such as J.S Bach, L.van Beethoven, J. Brahms, H. Wieniawski, P.Sarasate, W.A.Mozart, G. Handel, N.Paganini, S.Prokofiev, C.Debussy, Ј.Suk, B.Bartok..and the macedonian composers such as S.Stojkov, А. Dzambazov и М. Trendafilovski.

Vesna Angelova Hristov
Her primary music education starts at the PMS “Lazo Micev Rale” in Kavadarci, in the class of prof. L. Todorova and graduates her secondary school at SMBSC “Ilija Nikolovski-Luj” in Skopje in the class of Prof. P. Srebrova. She graduates the Faculty of Musical Arts in Skopje, 1999 in the class of prof. Romanov. In 2007, she completes her master’s degree in piano interpretation under the mentorship of renowned pianist Prof. Rita Kinka (Academy of Arts, Novi Sad, R. Serbia).
Vesna Angelova Hristov is the winner of the first prizes of the state competitions 1992, 1995 and 1998 (special award)in R.Macedonia. She is awarded at the piano competition in N. Sad, R. Serbia, with a special award, and awarded a diploma from the international piano competition Eutlingen, Germany 1998.
During her education, she attended many piano seminars under the guidance of eminent pedagogues; Yokut Mikhailovich, Rita Kink, Boris Romanov, Yarorom Klepach, Anton Dikov and others. She receives a MMM scholarship for taking part in the international master course in chamber music in Wakersheim, Germany, 1997, where she works with top names in the field of chamber music.
Vesna Angelova Hristov has realized solo recitals and chamber recitals (a series of recitals with piano trio and piano duo throughout Macedonia) as well as more performances with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra.
She is a member of the jury of state competitions in piano and chamber music in Republic of Macedonia. In May 2008 she realized a cultural stay and a concert in the hall of All International Des Art, Paris.
Since 2007 she has worked as an external member of the Macedonian Philharmonic. She did a large amount of performances in Bulgaria, France, Turkey, Czech Republic, Republic of Serbia …Since 2000, she has been working in SMBSC “Ilija Nikolovski Luj” Skopje as a professor of piano and piano collaborator at the instrumental department.
