Each artist in Found Wanting chooses to examine the details and fragments of particular moments or situations. The resulting exhibition showcases a common interest among artists who create work that deals with the quieter details or parts of story in a way that slows down, comments on, or alters the often convoluted bigger picture. Some of the work is created through careful selection where all distracting elements are removed while other works eliminate the context altogether. All of the works condense a complex concept to its most crucial elements.

Gallery MC is pleased to announce its forthcoming group show “Grand Tour,” featuring work by a selection of artists from around the globe: Anne Deleporte, Pietro Finelli, Yasuo Ihara, Dean Monogenis, Aga Ousseinov, Gorazd Poposki, and Yuh-Shioh Wong. The artists come from diverse personal backgrounds, range widely in age, and take an array of approaches to artmaking, but their works display remarkable formal and conceptual affinities. Several of the pieces will be created specifically for the space.
