About the Artist:

The present installation piece by the young Macedonian artist Goce Nanevski (1974, Skopje) is indicative of his creative approach: namely, it consists of migrating a fistful of recurring topics across the ever changing landscape of the new media. In this instance, it is to do with an encounter between experience and structure, narrative and visual, intimate and social, contents and context.

In other words, the artist’s work is a repository abounding in powerful images which are addressing his own realities within our contemporary moment. Making sense of the contents requires an already explained situation and Goce Nanevski is undoubtedly a gifted heir to that noble lineage of artists pursuing the quest for understanding.
