Prof. Gordana Josifova Nedelkovska
Referred to as the refined oboe poetess, Gordana Josifova Nedelkovska, is a name which in Macedonian cultural circles is synonymous to a profound strive for perfection in musical expression.
Having graduated in 1988 from the Faculty of Music at the University of “St. Cyril and Metodius” in Skopje, she perused a master course in Oboe and English horn, at the same University in the class of Prof. Kiro Davidovski. Her specialisation was then on further extended at the Mozart Academy in Warsaw and the Banff Centre of Music and Sound in Canada. Whilst attending at the former institution in 1998, Ms. Josifova Nedelkovska played in numerous internal Academy concerts as well as public recitals of chamber music held at the Mala Wies Palace, and presented herself to the Academy as a gifted, talented and dedicated musician that displays insightful and professional attitude. Her prominence was further established during her specialization, at the Banff Centre in 2002 where she played on a number of occasions in trios with the famous musicians like Prof. Stéphane Lévesque (at the bassoon) and Prof. Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi (at the cello).
Prof. Josifova Nedelkovska has also been involved in the organization of Macedonia’s most prominent International Cultural Festival – Ohrid Summer Festival where in the period 2000-2002 she has been a Music Selector and the President of the Festival Board Committee, and presently in 2007 she has been declared the Art Director.
She has performed as a soloist with many important orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra of the State Chapel of Saint Petersburg, the Chamber Orchestra ‘Musica Viva’ with Alexander Rudin, Belgrade Symphonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra ‘Sophia Soloists’, the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Macedonian Chamber Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra ‘St. George Strings’, the orchestra of Avignon – Provence, Chamber orchestra of Porto Alegre – Brazil, United Europe chamber orchestra. In recital she has performed in Russia, Italy (Milan – Verdi hall), Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Netherlands, Canada, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia. In 2009, Gordana performed with maestro Morricone, on his invitation.
Prof. Josifova Nedelkovska has also attended numerous seminars and extra curricular activities like the Winter School of Baroque and Contemporary Music in Dubrovnik 2004, one of the founders of ‘Ohrid Pearls 2005’ – international competition of young musicians, one of the founders and 10year member of the Macedonian Wind Quintet.
Since September 2009, Prof. Josifova – Nedelkovska has been Dean of the Faculty of Music Art in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.
Елена Атанасовска-Ивановска е родена во Скопје, 1981 година. Музичкото образование го започнува на шест годишна возраст во ДМБУЦ „Илија Николовски–Луј“ – Скопје во класата на проф. Лепа Мрмевска. Дипломските студии ги завршува со највисока оцена CUM LAUDE на Факултетот за музичка уметност во Скопје во класата на еминентниот руски проф. Борис Романов. Во 2003 година се здобива со наградата за најдобар студент од фондацијата „Франк Манинг“. Во 2005 година ги завршува постдипломските студии во класата на проф. Борис Романов.
Во текот на музичкото образование се здобива со повеќе награди на државни, како и меѓународни натпревари: I награда на меѓународниот натпревар „Concorso Musicale Internazionale Rovere d’Oro“ во категорија на дуо состав во Сан Бартоломео, Италија (1996); II награда на истиот натпревар во категорија соло пијано (1996); II награда на натпреварот „Музиката и Земјата“ во категорија на камерни состави, Софија, Р. Бугарија (1996); III награда на Шопеновиот натпревар во Нови Сад, Република Србија (1997).
Повеќепати настапува како солист со Македонската Филхармонија. Со свои рецитали, полурецитали и како пијано соработник настапувала во Грција, Република Србија, Бугарија, Шпанија, Португалија, Босна и Херцеговина, Косово. Настапува на концертите во рамките на фестивалите „Охридско Лето“, „Скопско Лето“, „Денови на македонска музика“, „Битолско Лето“, „Интерфест“, „Гевгелиска есен“ итн.
Работи како уметнички соработник при Факултетот за музичка уметност во Скопје, а воедно во подготовка е нејзината докторска дисертација.
