Make Music Harlem 2016

Make Music Harlem is a lot of things: it is a music marathon, a multimedia event, a community festival, a block party, a neighborhood welcoming of the summer.
Please support Make Music Harlem, a free, public, outdoors event to take place on June 21st 2016, 4-8PM on W119th street, between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and St. Nicholas Avenue.
Founded in 2015 by Milica Paranosic, the Juilliard trained composer and music faculty, and the founder of Paracademia Center, Inc., Make Music Harlem is part of the city-wide Make Music New York.
Milica’s well-known tendency to connect diverse performance styles and audiences, finds a full expression in an event such as Make Music Harlem, where jazz, world, classical, hip-hop, beat-boxing, reggae and R&B all come together on a stage shared by established musicians, students and children. Musical and dance performances, public art, refreshments, local businesses demos are just a few confirmed elements of this very exciting event.
Our co-host for the event is our long-time friend, a well-known Harlem restaurant Billie’s Black. Make Music Harlem also serves as BB’s 10th anniversary celebration, which is scheduled to re-open just weeks before the event, after an extensive remodeling.
We will present performances by La Banda Ramirez, ShoutHouse, Bonnie Bowers, Apparition Muzik, Rakiem Walker Project, Johari Mayfield, and our first ever Paracademia Junior Collective.
Our confirmed sponsors include: Gallery MC, HerBillions, MProjekts, Materials For the Arts, Johari Fitness and Land Yoga.
Paracademia is a presenter partner of Composers Now.
Thank you for considering offering your support to Make Music Harlem.
With gratitude,
Milica Paranosic, Founder/President, Paracademia Center, Inc
