Laze Tripkov

The selection of the posters presented on this exhibition has been created in the past 5 years, carrying cultural, ideological and social topics, but the main focus is on the posters which were created during Covid-19 pandemics as a personal reflection…

The understanding of art versus human tragedy takes on a new different perspective, while responsibility compels us to pursue a new discourse in the role of designers and artists.

The pandemic and the isolation imposed specific restrictions on all of us, which the author used, to deepen his personal visual creativity, as well as to express his personal emotions and stances.

Laze Tripkov

Laze Tripkov was born 1978 in Skopje, Macedonia. He gain his MA at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (graphic design department) at 2002. The same year he began his post master studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, Poland at the department of Multimedia and Design.

His works have been shown in more than 50 group exhibitions of graphic design, posters worldwide . Member of ICO-D; program committee of Warsaw Poster Biennale; co-founder of Skopje Design Week and partner till 2013. Program director of Skopje Creative Festival, and national coordinator for creative industries at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia till 2016. Has was few design awards, like Golden Bee from Moscow Poster Biennale and Honorable Award from The Czech Association Of Graphic Designers.

He is appointed as Executive Director of the China Europe International Design Culture Association with head quatres in Belgium. Works as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Art and Design at International Balkan University in Skopje, Macedonia.
