Sketches in Several Concepts by Blagojche Naumoski- Bane
Review Sketches in Several Concepts
At the very beginning, the question is raised of what actually the artist’s book is.
It seems to me that this is not so important because in modern art, there are no rules, there are only tendencies. Essentially, the art form of the artist’s book (an artistic book) is a modern artistic form created by the artist, and this would be a possible answer to the question.
Since it is about an art product, generally the artist’s book is an individual vision and a selection of creating a policy freed from editing, publishing and marketing, and above all from censure and reviewing.
The directions and opportunities this discipline allows may be represented graphically via a diagram, which may aid the process of unveiling the topic while not defining it.
The very diagram reveals many opportunities allowed by the artist’s book medium and makes it different from an ordinary one.
With his modern artistic contemplation, Blagojche Naumoski – Bane creates an expression of his creativity through this medium, representing an abundance of processes and experiments of psychic conditions during the creation of an art work.
His examinations show dematerialisation of an art object, dematerialisation of the classic processualism of an art work, and commitment to an alternative platform of action while obtaining a fragmentary experimental-and-conceptual form.
Those examinations, in the given case, create alternative documentary space, deconstruct the literal and typographic form of the book, and change completely its primary function, which passes into a hybrid form of inter-medium, a type of interaction between the psychic art object and psychic condition of one’s mind during the process of creating.
This movement and removal of the concept of art has an artistic idea as its primary goal, and aesthetics is of secondary importance.
It is why this book is an integral subject of his visual and artistic materialisations, although we can experience it as an independent creative object.
Therefore, one should stress the significance of this artist’s book, because it moves the boundaries of conventional artistic manifestations.
